About Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology (CS ManTech)
CS ManTech is a not-for-profit organization whose focus is to provide a forum for members of the compound semiconductor community to exchange and discuss new ideas to better serve the public in general. We accomplish this through an annual international conference on Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology. The conference is comprised of technical papers, talks, workshops, and manufacturer exhibits and is open to anyone who is interested in the latest advances in compound semiconductor manufacturing and device technology.

Specific goals of our service to the community:
- Industry (Producers & Users): To facilitate technical cooperation within the compound semiconductor industry through discussions on compound semiconductor manufacturing technology problems, to help advance manufacturing capabilities, and to establish and maintain credible high professional standards for the industry.
- Suppliers (Materials & Equipment): To provide a forum for compound semiconductor suppliers to showcase products to the user community and to advance public relations with compound semiconductor manufacturers in general.
- Academia (Educators & Students): To aid in the scientific education of interested college or university students; to aid in encouraging active participation by educational institutions’ faculty and students; and to aid students in pursuing solutions to problems of compound semiconductor manufacturing.
Our inaugural meeting was held in 1986 as the U.S. Conference on GaAs MANufacturing TECHnology to support the then-fledgling Gallium Arsenide industry as it emerged from a business of largely military applications into the commercial world. In 2000, acknowledging powerful industry manufacturing, device, and application trends, we broadened our focus and became the International Conference on Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, welcoming researchers from around the world and later officially adopting our current name in 2005.
During our 30 years we have expanded beyond a forum of top flight papers to include workshops, seminars, rump sessions, and social events. We also have an association with the Reliability of Compound Semiconductors meeting and the SEMI Standard meeting for compound semiconductors, making CS ManTech a preeminent conference for CS scientists, engineers, and business people.
